I agree, great course, well organised and great weather, and yes, those last two miles were very long!!
I made it 7.05 miles too.

Yes agree with all the above..Clubmate and i really enjoyed it...Well organised and what about the weather..glorious!..a little bit frosty in places apart from that perfect running conditions..
Thanks to marshalls etc.
There was an amusing scenario as we climbed through the woods when a marshall bawled out 'could the walker to get off the path as there is a race going on'. As I ran past the obliging 'walker', I couldn't help thinking 'I'm pretty sure Kirsten Bailey knows a race when sees one, and wouldn't dream of getting in our way!'
The durge through Chatsworth set me up mentally for doing it in reverse in 3 weeks time on the Grindleford Gallop - except on the Gallop we'll have completed 15 miles by then, so it really does get to you.
If the correct distance had been declared, I doubt it would qualify as a Fell Race and so inclusion in the Calendar, but as this was a once off with all proceeds going to Charity who cares - the marshalls & organisation were excellent.
Its better to have fought and lost, than not have fought at all.
Thanks Ian,are you doing the edale circle next week?
