just bought some, very pricey but reduction for online purchase.

My legs do seem to recover quicker from long runs: thats running (washing) and sleeping in them overnight.

Been running with them under my trackys just lately, as they dont seem to keep out the cold but they are very comfortable.
    why do we do?

    Compression clothing.

I now run in a pair of skins shorts when racing and I believe they help me.

They are on there way out now and were purchased for Edale last year.

Cost £40 then, anyone know where they are cheaper?

    Re: Skins

I'm currently doing all my running in compression tights, although 'all' is a relative term so I've no idea if they're really of any benefit. I'm too mean to buy Skins so I bought 'Linebreak'. From what I've read, there's very little difference between Skins, Linebreak, 2XU and Canterbury. I've not read anything that says one is massively better than the other, apart from the usual, "I bought Skins because they were the most expensive and must be the best". Also, I've read various posts on other forums that suggest Skins don't last very well, and that Canterbury are harder wearing - probably as they were designed for rugby players. I paid £34 for full length Linebreak tights from a place down here, www.sportologyonline.com/ I've also read that you can pick up Skins quite cheaply on ebay.

bought some of the shorts last summer - seemed to work a bit on muscle recover, but a hole appeared exactly where you don't want a hole to appear in only 2 days. So rubbish product imo. A mate thinks the whole idea is rubbish and is a con to sell less fabric for more money - he's got a point!

I've worn my skins once and they have already started to wear 'goolie' thin . They are no good at keeping you warm either although I do look 'hot' in mine.

ooo sounds like a no no then

as i dont want the tatties to fall out of the sack and suffer from exposure...in more ways than just being cold

alas it was just a thought....although you dont see any of the elites, fell or otherwise wearing them. maybe thats the answer ?

Don't think much of the idea meself, but I think I'll reserve judgement until I've seen Julia Bradbury modelling some.....
