Surprised we didnt see any of you. myself and a mate did the first 7 ( just under 5 hours Edale to Edale) of the Kinder dozen also on Saturday and only saw two other runners out on top of jacobs Ladder I think.
Would like to do all of dozen and the killer also. the downfall was amazing blowing upwards. I wonder if it could ever freeze like that?

You'll have to fix his roof first!

Good effort on the run, by the way. Might give this a crack next week if I can get a day off work. Could be a useful final training run for the HPM.

HPM you say , didnt realise you was going for the hayfield parish mayors job, you lot up there will have a go at anything.

I think luvshack has already reserved me a plot for my tent by the little river he has running through his lovely garden

Just catching up on this thread - it's been a busy few days.

It was another Grand Day Out on the Killer on Saturday. Many other runners out and about as well as the walkers, but one of the things about the Killer and the Dozen is that they take you right off the beaten track to those fantastic gems of Kinder, particularly the cloughs. I found Jagger's Cough very interesting as there seemed to have been a landslip about two thirds of the way up, and a mixture of peat, sand and stones had been deposited high up the banks for hundreds of metres below that point. I'd never been so far up the River Kinder before, and the perspective of the Downfall from below with the water blowing upwards is so dramatic.

So many wonderful places I haven't been before! Can't wait for the next outing.
