Does anyone know any good training runs around Dovedale, Derbyshire? Not from that area but will have a chance of training there soon.

There's a map below of a run I did some time back from Thorpe - it's about 9 miles. If you wanted to shorten it you could cut straight back down Dove Dale itself, or to lengthen it start off by going along the Tissington Trail, which is the 'national trail' marked path to the right of the start point, and then cut back onto the route somewhere around New Hanson Grange. The right hand part of Tissington Trail is cut off on the map, but it's a disused railway line that's been converted to a leisure trail. It's okay in a sort of disused railway line kind of way.....

Cheers dominion, been looking on tinternet but couldn't find anything, good distance too. Top Man!
RDB, one thing to have in mind is that the disused railway lines and the main Dovedale path in particular are extremely popular with walkers etc. Mid week or evenings are much quieter. Alstonefield is a fantastic village - one of the prettiest in this part of the Peak, nice pub too! If you like cheese go to the shop in Hartington ;-}
