    Cool 50 marathons 30 days + 3 peaks

    The Long Way Up!

    1300 miles - 50 marathons - Britain's Three Highest Peaks - 30 Days - 1 April to 30 April 2008 for Cancer Care

    Who is this bloke?

    http://www.slateman.co.uk/sb/sb-running-lejog.htm

He's doing London and Lochaber marathons plus the 3 peaks plus Lands End to John O' Groats for good measure all in April! Only taking a tent and sleeping bag most of the way camping on the roadside. If you see him give him a cheer!

    All due respect!

So that's what Broady's up to. What a hero! He did the Paris marathon a couple of years ago, then ran to London (a marathon a day), and did the London marathon, a week later (and his time at London was quicker)
He's obviously got a taste for that kind of thing. Probably get lost on Ben Nevis though

R.H. I have heard his name somewhere before? From his published 'palmares', it would appear that he's been more into ultra road running over the past few years (decades?). I remember when I first got into the fell running ('83) there were a couple of young bobbies from Morecambe who ran across the Bay to Grange ( at low tide, of course ) and continued on to 'top out' on Coniston Old Man ( pre '74 it was the highest point in 'old' Lancashire ), did an about turn and caught the next low tide to run back across the Bay. I have an inkling that one of them was Steve Broadbent and the other might have been Phil Corris ( now Bowland F.R. )
