    Embsay Owl Event

Ok by popular demand ive decided to put on one more event as a final to the winters nocturnal fun. With not much time left before light nights arrive its not too far off so if you need to recce (advised) finger out !!!!

    Embsay Owl Event
    Wed Night 12th March 2008
Start at 7.30pm Embsay sailing club car park GR SE000544
Timed or none timed Nocturnal Training Run
    Guess your time entry £1.00
    Everybody welcome
The route is from the car park up to Rylestone cross GR SD983576 via Crook Rise and then return back to the car park
    Approx 5.5ml
This is the 5th and final Owl Event this winter and hopefully everybody will have as much fun as the previous events but remember running in the dark is very testing so a good headtorch and proper clothing is recommended.
The route isn’t flagged or marked so a recce is advised.
These events are basically timed training runs so its up to the individual how they run them. You are given a number so we can give you an accurate time.
There is a bottle for the nearest Guessed time.
Social at the Elm Tree pub

There is a fairly descent path for the full route. You might just need to have a look at Hellifield Crag as there are a couple of paths that run off in the wrong direction. Just follow the line of the crag down to Gill beck then follow the path as it climbs out of beck bottom.
Overall a little bit more concentration may be needed but a good out and back route.
