Where is the Embsay sailing club ?
Sorry but I've no idea what county it's in!
Cheers for that WD, I think I know where it is, is it heading towards Kettelwell on the left hand side if heading from Skipton? The cross on the hill by any chance?
Also I've never ran round there, would I be ok to attend or would it be better to have local knowledge?
Crookrise could be on t'left'and side if tha skens throo yer nearside wing mirror when scooting up Wharfedale in t'motor but if tha looks throo yer offside winder('bout 'alf mile up road from Grassington Road r'about) tha'll spot Embsay Crag followed by Crookrise then Rylstone (only one 'e' in there Grifty Boy ) Cross; all assuming it's dayleet of course.
If still in dowt then gi' us a showt an I'll meet thee in Sheeptown on t'evenin o t'run an tha can foller me up to res like.
Thats nice and clear then!
Finding Embsay will be easy - it's running on unfamiliar Embsay Crag that will be my problem. Never run on there before and absolutely NO available slot for a recce
Just got back from a run over the route with mi old pal the Famous Grouse and although I know the area pretty well, looking at from a race point of view its a cracking route.
Running around the cross would be interesting in the dark Also if there is ice on the rocks as there was this morning.
Don't run over Embsay Crag Trundler, not unless you wish to double your running time
Now't wrong wi me, its t'others.
