    That should take you to it! A few of my fellow club memebers have done it last year and say that it has a killer up hill start! Should be good then

    that should sort the pandas out from the racing snakes then

    after doing the pipedream, i'm not sure i can be fazed by an uphill anymore (he says rather sheepishly)

    Not quite an immediate hill start - there's a section from tintern along the old railway first for perhaps 3/4m before the hills begin, so plenty of chance to warm up, find your place in the pack and let the speedy get away. Then there's a lot of upping and downing along the top of the ridge overlooking the Wye, before you eventually drop back down onto the riverbank, and then there's a very long run in (3+ miles) that's flat, goes on for ever - every time there's a bend in the river you think you'll see Tintern, but instead there's just more fields.

    Still, a good race... hope to be there
