i had a near death experience coming off the steep drop of from calfhow crag last year. pertex shorts on wet grass = mach 2 in 60 metres and complete with brown vapour trail! fortunately managed to find a nice helpful rock to stop me going into the gill and a kind bloke from saltwell harriers who grabbed me by scruff of neck. I would probably do it this year but likely to be helping on a bg.

Nice traditional low key event. No on line entries, no fancy marquees, no inflated entry fees, no mobile phones. Just a farmers field and barn, oh and a bloody hard run
