Just heard tonight that it's been put forward by a week to the 6th October. This avoids the clash with the FRA relays in Bowland.......and I presume it's a week after the Ian Hodgson's.

It pays to look at the race updates section of this site every now and then .

i have this one in mind, can i get info from anywhere
Damn same weekend as Lochness marathon which i have already entered.
The older I get the Faster I was
Hm, I can't find the details on the Ambleside site. There even used to be a very clever online map with a little red ball that traced out the route. I've got the checkpoint details somewhere....
Daz, this is an absolute classic Lakeland race. It's got a bit of everything - steep climbs, fast descents, bogs, rocks, navigation. You'll love it. And it finishes at the pub, so bring your alcoholic neighbour with you.
Here's the Amblside link - http://www.amblesideac.org.uk/langdale06.htm

No problem there then. You are either up for a placing in the championship or you're not. The point being that its possible to run Gt Whernside Saturday and Ian Hodgson Sunday, but there are very few runners who could run Langdale and then do justice to a major team relay the day after.
Now't wrong wi me, its t'others.
