    Pennine Way

I see Damian Hall is attempting to claim back his Pennine Way FKT from John Kelly. He set off this morning from Kirk Yetholm aiming to beat 58.04
    Tracker is here:

Just been speaking with Paul Wilson. Apparently he (DH) is shifting and was dropping pacers when crossing the Cheviots.

A bit on the blustery side today.

This should be a good tracker to watch. I see he's ~2km behind currently, but if you read the blurb - that's his race strategy. Good luck to him.

About half way there and he's about 1km behind the virtual John Kelly.

I provided road support for John throughout his record Wainwrights Round and his ability to push on through sleep-deprivation and adversity is staggering. He certainly had a sprint finish on his Pennine Way record so Damian will have to keep something in reserve or take a good lead towards the end. Compulsive dot watching.

I think it might be all over. If the tracker is correct DH is 16 miles behind JK's record.

I suspect that the strong winds over the last couple of days might have taken a toll.
Visibility good except in Hill Fog

I'm hoping it's a tracker issue. There's a twitter post saying he was still moving well about 8 hours ago.

"At around the 220 mile mark Damian has called time on his record attempt after having spent the last two days in bracing headwinds along the spine of the Pennines."
I'm sure he'll be back again soon

He should have run the other way.

Only joking - it's an amazing feat of endurance to get that far that quickly. Well done him for giving it such a go.
