In your dreams - underfoot will be MUDDY!
Cracking race. Will be back on Sunday for my 2nd go at it. Finished in 2 hours 20 last year so I'm hoping to better that.
here's some top advice, yes its going to be very muddy and possibly snowy...
The car park fills VERY quickly, please carshare.
There is a layby opposite which also fills. half mile up the road is another car park.
A good place to park is on the dam, 100ms or so towards M1 right turn. probably 20 spaces but please park considerately.
I may be at the Peniston Stile CP or Start Finish with the rescue team. No race for me as I'm still suffering from a virus...
Car share as much as possible!
Nice day out yesterday, bit of snow up top. Claggy first time over Cut Gate but clear the second time and some lovely views across Bleaklow and its surrounds.
Steve Franklin won the men's race on his 30th Birthday; Caity Rice won the women's.
Good to see Ian, glad to get a bottle of rescue ale after he wasn't about after Trigger! Cracking spread after as well: "how much can I have?" "as much as you like" "you may live to regret that statement!"

Yeah great race the other day, top day out.
Great running through the snow high up, thought I was running well up until about halfway then it sorta went a bit tits up, that long slog back up to cut gate checkpoint just sapped any energy out me legs, and the long run for home finished me off. The excellent spread in Langsett Barn sorted me out though, ace.
Thanks to all organiseres, mountain rescue and all the marshals, much appreciated.
