Glad you made it Sunnysideup, and that you enjoyed it. The weather and visibility was fantastic, and the course seemed even drier than last year.

The flags that have been laid so far didn't spoil the route. Let's hope there aren't too many more to come.

I was really pleased to finish about five minutes quicker than last year. Not sure of my place - let's hope the results are out quicker than Tigger Tor.

Good to meet up with several forumites.

I measured 14.6 miles in the race on my GPS and have since loaded the route onto a map. It comes out at 14.5 after adjusting for where it lost the signal through the woods. Climb worked out at 2,300ft.

Daz, did the bank balance survive Meadowhall?

well done all you mickleden straddlers today - what kind of times did you do - I found the long run last week (white holme circular) at 12 miles to have been quite tough on my little legs so decided not to come along today, i do admire you all doing today's long run - you are obviously made of stronger stuff than me (Socks!).

I couldnt get internet access last night - its a shame as we had worked out the route and drawn up maps and everything - we could have e.mailed you the sheets (sunny and daz) - - blame tiscali. sorry!

I did get out into the beautiful weather (went up on to pockstones moor for a 7 miles walk/trot) - it was a beautiful day indeed. Its great to enjoy the dry conditions. I've kind of decided against the 3Ps now so dont feel obliged to drag myslef round these long runs - I think I'm naturally more of a jog home from the pub kind of runner actually.

    daleside dont worry
and your much better than a run home from the pub runner
white holme was harder on my legs than this race so yea it will take a bit of recovery, its your body tellin you hang on i need a rest.
dont let it put you off races and if you ever want me to have a run round with you on a long race just ask

I saw the hares too Daz it was where that heather patch was and we missed the path through it and lost a bit of time. I was trying to get past you but you were going strongly then.
