I was up there on Thursday evening and from the top of Mickleden edge is the wettest I have seen it and quite boggy.

I'm with Running Man it is crazy wet up there. the first bit of track will lull you in. the first climb is rocky trail. the upper part is sloppy with a grassy descent. the reclimb up will be fantastic...erm I mean heavy going and very boggy. then return. Mudclaws for me...If you've not run up cut Gate before it is notoriously windy even on calm days.
It's been raining for hours...should be fun. see you on the start line.
great race, good conditions in the end...strong wind and wet underfoot but no rain.. a few walking wounded at the end.
well done to Simon and his team and to the boys in red who hurled abuse(sorry encouragement) at me all the way round...
I did watch out for a Darwen runner Calvin but most had windproofs on
Well done mate, I think you were a good 8 minutes in front of me.
Thought that was a fantastic race, one of my favourites so far - had nearly everything in terms of terrain to match your fell running "skill set" and the spread put on in the barn afterwards did have everything!
Massive thanks to Denby Dale, the organisers & Woodhead MRT for standing out in the wind for a good few hours
Ran up to Cut Gate from the iron gate car park and made a decision where to stand. My finger FROZE at one point and I couldn't click the button! Sorry if I missed you, but if you are daft enough to take a line way above me to avoid a puddle ...

It's an adrenaline rush. Targets everywhere, just hoping to get THE shot of the day.
