Middle Fell Race

Am thinking of doing this race out of Nether Wasdale on Saturday.
Can anyone give me any info/tips on it, further to what is in FRA calendar?
Any checkpoints?

Mind you, had someone warned me about the near two mile run out and back along the road and track, I may have stayed away.
A superb day (minus the freak hailstorm) and the views weren't bad either.

Ricky Lightfoot won, from Chris Steele and Brian Taylor (I think). Nat White was first lady. Only 40-odd runners.
