Been blasting out Michael Schenker's Temple of Rock today, cracking album, in anticipation of seeing them in November supporting the metal gods Judas Priest, can't wait.

"Get yourself together, Jones" - Ray Davies
Going on a trip down memory lane tonight. Alice Cooper and Motley Crüe playing in Manchester. It's nearly 30yrs since I last saw either band live...not expecting the same energy from bands or myself.
Had this stuck in my head for days after hearing it on a TV advert...
Not a bad track though... and Dion is another rocker who came through after years (decades?) of heroin addiction to become a grand old man of rock.
It fascinates me that basically a throwaway pop song written by Ernie Maresca (who as a performer was just a 'one-hit wonder') in the early 60s (when Maresca was in his early 20s) can reappear 50+ years later to earn his descendants royalties (Maresca died at 76 in July).
Wonderful!

"...as dry as the Atacama desert".
Yeah I agree, I actually like the track! I like a lot of music of this genre, despite being 25, ha ha
