Ran it this morning on your recommendation, excellent fun. Heavy going and lots of water but two steep climbs and one long one. Isn't Parkin Clough the steepest footpath in the Peak?

Must get an entry in for this one

Good route that, a very very similar run to one that I used to do from my front door when I lived in Castleton last year (with a nice cross country warm up across the fields along the Peakshole water).

    I'm almost nostalgic now...

    This event is fast approaching.

Road closure affecting Some You Win....
According to the Derbyshire County Council site the road at Mytham Bridge will be closed on the day of the race, Sunday 27th April (and also on Sunday 20th).

We suggest an alternative route via Yorkshire Bridge and Thornhill to circumvent the roadworks, but please allow extra time...

    Map

I'll be marshalling I think as it's the day after the PPP.

For those running the 3 P's the day before - will there be special dispensation to stagger around the course at the back

No sorry BUT Any one attempting both will get huge respect as there are three big climbs in the SYWSYL. Dark Peak/Penistone have a club race Monday evening so extra respect for those who go on to do the Washington Wasp and collect all three. Jan you're invited if you want to join in.
