There will be 9 unmanned Checkpoints which must be visited in order the route taken between being up to the individual, as long as walls and fences are crossed via stiles, and private land is not crossed. (Keep within the access areas)
A system of Orienteering clippers will be used at each Checkpoint, for those not accustomed to orienteering events competitors will be given a card containing numbered boxes, i.e. arrive at checkpoint 1 use the clipper attached and punch box 1 on the card and so on.

    No kit no race.
Anyone dropping out of the race must report back to Race Control at the Finish
    EXPERIENCE
ER Experience required NS Navigational Skills Essential LK local knowledge an advantage. PM. Course only partially marked, at Start and across fields at Finish.
Please don’t drop litter on the course.

Just looked at the route on a map. Ouch!

Looks good, particularly as there'll be a lot of route choice, somethings thats becoming a bit rarer in fell races at the moment.

Urrrgh! Watching those moobs bounce around after too many chippy teas.

Yeah I'm on for that. Might be one or two inventive route choices (I'll just follow Pete Booth and out sprint him at the end )

Grifter, you said the routes flagged up the road to the stile on Worston Moor. Have you got a grid reference for it? Cheers

There is going to be entries on the day but pre entry would help.

No more grid refs, the idea is to make it interesting but it is going to be fairly obvious at the start and finish.

Headtorches not essential unless you navigate as good as Stick !!!!!

Kit will be according to conditions on the day and taxi fare for the non navigators
