    Thanks Mark and everyone for organising the race, you do such a great job with all these races, its much appreciated! Great race, we're so lucky to live in such a fabulous area.

    mount Famine

    At the mount famine race is there anything near by to entertain a toddler for an hour?

    I should point out i don't just intend to leave him alone but his mum will be there!

    The race finishes in a playground with swings, slides, sand-pit, zip-wire etc. And the River Sett to paddle in.

    If you've not done this one before, you'll love the start - just don't go off too quick!

    But you CAN'T go off too quick. It's a physical impossibility.

    I recall that you've made alternative arrangements for this date to avoid doing this race!

    Plenty of nice pubs to toddle around. My Mum took me into the Royal many years ago and they do good ale to this day!

    I ran this route with Hooker last week and he burned me into the ground with his brown fell shoes
    So much so Geoff B had to head off early
