    Same thing for me. Ran it last year (it's short & brutal) but this year the missus and kids will be in along. The little playground and a meander around Hayfield should keep them happy for long enough, just hope it's nice - it was freezing last year!

    Thanks Geoff sounds ideal for an hour, is the finish the same place as the start?

    The start's about 1/2 km away from the finish. You run back past the start near the end, but then just keep going a bit further into the playground.

    With the rain I guess it would be a bad plan to wear wave harriers ?

    To get to the start do I just continue along valley rd?

    Also what time should I give to get there from the scout hut?

    Not overly familiar with downtown hayfield
