    podiatrists

This will have come up in other threads.

Need a good podiatirst in Leeds, bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield area. Though will take the plunge and go to Lancashire if need be - I can always shower afterwards .

Have ongoing biomechanical problems, which have led to variety of injuries, physio says I need to treat the underlying cause and that I should try a pod as I may need orthotics. Realise you cannot put a price on good health and being able to run - but don't want to pay through the nose if I don't have to. Also don't want to have to wait months for an appointment - fussy aren't I.

    Re: podiatrists

Hi there, i work at a sports injurty clinic where we have a specialist sports podiatrist. He works mostly with runners and is a runner himself, so knows whats best for those of you that like to keep fit! The practice in general is offering some free sports podiatry assessments on the 24th of May and although it is a little out of your way maybe worth it just because the consultation is free, other than that you could see him at any time as there are no waiting lists. I have had a word with him and also asked if he knows anyone who is goo nearer to you if you dont want to travel and he suggests..

1- Huddersfield University - Podiatry department. he suggests you see one of the lecturers and not the students.

    2- Premier physio - runcorn, cheshire www.premierphysio.com

    3- www.sports-podiatry.com. - located near huddersfield

    Re: podiatrists

yeah my contact is the runcorn sports podiatrist. Ive spoke to him who suggested that if you didnt want to travel the other options were the people he knows who do sports podiatry and are quite good.

if you can get down to our practice they are holding 2 free podiatry consultation days on the 24th and 31st of May which is open to Mostly running clubs- the sports injury side of the practice is trying to improve links with amateur running clubs as they see a lot of professional football clubs etc as well.

I've used Huddersfield Uni in the past. Totally free but you need a GP referral and you are seen by students. However the lecturer is never far away and checks their findings.

Also have to fit in around their holidays and exams and I had to wait a few months.
