I'm not sure what the code is like that the forums run on or how easy it is to modify or extend but it should be possible to check for duplicate/multiple postings of what essentially is the same message. Brett and/or other administrators could then be alerted automatically and appropriate action taken. There were a series of postings about William Blake the other day for example.
Maybe something similar could be done for PMs.
