    Turkey? we were there a couple of weeks ago and there were loads of turtles about...but we were sailing

    Crunchy meat pies. Turtles are saltier than tortoises.

    Short-eared owl (I think) on the side of Shutlingsloe at about 7:30 yesterday. Also, this week's great excitement: hedgehogs in the garden. Three little ones so far, which makes me think there will be big ones that are less fearless. I say "fearless" - Mrs Noel tried to take a photo of one of the little ones, and it walked up to her and sniffed the lens of the camera!
