I'm in Tywyn, just 4 miles North of Aberdovey, which is just down the Dyfi from the observation site. I saw them at the furthest point of my run, couple of miles into the hills. Did your Mrs manage to get a glimpse of the pair? An odd bird is also glimpsed hawking the Dysynni just a mile from me but despite walking along there many times I've never been fortunate enough to get a glimpse, perhaps this year if I'm lucky.

Its often worth stopping if you see a stoat. They'll often pop back out for a check. If theyre on road kill the definately will. They're warey but not always shy. I've stopped a few times if I've seen them and been rewarded with decent views. I had a family running around my feet in a woods once, they must have thought I was a tree!! lol

lap wings, curlews a white hare or too and a peregrine eaten racing pigeon. what would the general say to some flatcap whippet breeding pigeon fanciers pride and joy being eaten by A peregrine....
They see the Ospreys most years hunting over Clywedog reservoir (Llanidloes), fairly obvious what they are doing there . Think they are annual visitors to the area, didn't they nest up Welshpool way about 5 years ago?
Never been lucky enough to see them myself.
Don't roll with a pig in poo. You get covered in poo and the pig likes it.
