Some Bristolians had an interesting wildlife encounter today!

A Little Owl near Peep O Day Farm on Chinley Churn.
Great grey shrike in the Duddon Valley on Saturday, near Seathwaite Tarn. No idea what it was doing there - it should be in Scandinavia by now I think. Anyway, it's the first one I've ever seen, so BIG TICK. But no small ticks, thankfully.

A deer (roe I think) while walking the hound at 5:45 this morning. Last week I drove for maybe 200 yards on the lane over the tops to Kirkby Malham following another (roe?) deer not 20 yards in front of me
A circling cormorant at Fewston reservoir.

Had an amazing wildlife run today only to be beaten on my descent of the mountain whereby by Gary told me of his wildlife encounter. I ran up to 2400m and just below the summit I saw 12 circling Griffon Vultures, when I got back down to Gary he told me that he had been stood watching around 40 feeding lower down the mountain. Absolutely the most amazing thing I have ever seen.
