There are some attractions - don't think there are many fell ponies down there for instance.
Cheers for that A.S.
This should give me something to go at during the weeks that I'm down there.

Do you have a map for your 13 mile route, I usually have a seven mile route I do twice or three times, a thirteen mile single route would be nice.
Others don't be fooled by the photo's though Leicestershire is flat in fell race terms, it is not as flat as the photo's suggest. Good photo's though.
It is the Charnwood Hills route, but to make up the extra mileage (vice running from the school in Anstey), i run all the way through Bradgate from Newtown Linford along the grass / tarmac path to the far entrance past the resevoir, then turn left before the gate and wind up a long path to the top of Big John. There is also a new-ish path off Beacon Hill (which the 08 race used) which adds about .75 of a mile.
Re-entering Bradgate on the return I go back over the top, across to the cenotaph and then descend right to the perimeter wall and follow that to the car park.
If my Garmin 305 had not completely died, resisted any resets, and if Garmin UK had bothered their arses to get back to me, then i would have a map ( i am about to start a triple challenge of European ultra marathons in a fortnight Mr Garmin - if you are reading this your lack of customer service is most unhelpful !!!!!)
hill reps up bardon hill are good
