I hear, on the grapevine, that an attempt on this is imminent.
Any attempt on this is ambitious but the person involved certainly has pedigree...

go on then - who is it?
Contact Yiannis if you want more details, or want to support.
In that case I think I know - Yiannis talked about it a couple of years ago.
Well I was out recce-ing with the man in question last week in Glen Affric and he is certainly in good shape. Looking forward to support duties on the south (and north?) Glen Shiel ridges....
More a matter of YDT finding someone daft (sorry fit) enough to try it! YDT is in Scotland this week, recceing same. Too quick for me to even think of supporting :-(
I saw YDT at Slioch on Saturday, and was on the Glen Shiel Ridge on Sunday. The ground is bone dry at the moment which should help.
It will be a mighty feat to repeat or extend the Broxap Round, 20 years on.
I have, since a few years ago, been recceing 30/31 munro rounds in both likely locations i.e. Glen Shiel/Affric and Lochaber (extended Ramsay). They both have almost identical statistics but I concentrated on the first more and was sorting out details for a very good speedy friend of mine to attempt. As he is not ready for it yet, I have now offered my support to the new person on the scene. I don't think he will mind me mentioning his name in this forum. Perhaps some of you out there might like to offer support. It is Stephen Pyke, Spyke for short, already a renoun ultra distance specialist, last years winner of the FRA long distance award. The attempt is scheduled for 21/22 June.
Chris, I have just returned from Scotland having sorted out my little challenge. I will soon put you in touch with Spyke.
Full Moon Addict, are you free on the 21st?
If Spyke does (only) 30 munros then there is a chance that someone else may succeed doing 31. Doing 32 is mighty difficult, perhaps easier in Lochaber. It will take a Billy Bland on a good day to do it!
