Since Anti-social is again choosing to act like a prick, I should point out that I chose to PM him to ask him why he had a grievance against FELL PONIES and that he shouldnt let my ramblings colour his view of the rest......I was rather nice about it all and didn't even call him a ballbag......
it's a pity that he's once more proved himself to be _______________

Getting back to the litter topic....
I supported a friend on the Joss Naylor on Saturday. I did the leg for Sty head over Gable, Kirk fell, Pillar, and on round to Greendale.
We were up there just after the last runners from the Ennerdale had gone through. Having read the postings about the Duddon I was interested to see if there was a litter problem. Unfortunately I have to agree with the original poster, I picked up several gel tops, an empty gatorade bottle and a packet of jelly babies.
Clearly some of it - like the jelly babies- must have been dropped by mistake, but it'll be a great shame if our sport starts to get associated with littering.

Got to agree with you there. Saw a fair few orange go gels on the way round. I suspect that this was all from the same person but as they are bright orange they stick out like a sore thumb.
Really is a shame as I suspect it is a very small minority but it does stick out badly on the landscape.
I will happily name and shame (if it would shame them) if I found someone doing it on purpose.
Very happy to pick up litter from other folks on the fells. I always find if I do so the Mountain Gods smile on me and I usuaaly have a flyer from then on.
I'm gonna get that cwazy gwouse...
