... I'm still a bit uncomfortable with the idea of a "club" that only admits people based on achievement.

It is like many other things in life, you either pass your exams and obtain a certificate or you fail the exams and do not join that particular group of finishers. You have to have some criteria to judge success at something.

I am not sure that it is at all necessary to have a Certificate or any other Tangible piece of evidence to prove that you are are success.

As to being judged to be a suceess why is that important, as long as you are comfortable with you own achievements and direction in life then surely that is all that matters.

24hr challenges are a good thing,but then so is anything that an individual sets himself as a target and then works to attain that goal.

But nothing is as good as the challenge of staying fit, healthy and content with your life, regardless of what tangible evidence you have for others to judge your degree of sucess by.
