    I will be missing my first national since 1999 as i will be doing some hard training at altitude in the states

    I hope your seriousness for the FLM this year does not include skiing!!

    That's a pity Roadie as selfishly i like to see athletes from our area and leagues do well nationally. Good luck with London though fella.

    Hey, skiing this week, therefore leaving many weeks of build up for the FLM> Just done an hour at 4000ft. Skiing location is at 6000ft at the base of the mountain and 9000ft at the top!!!! Get some altitude in the lungs for the next week!

    this year Xmas present from my wife was a set of XC ski.
    ...but it was the warmest dryiest greenest Xmas vacation ever. And we were there for nearly a month

    It doesnt matter how long I am here, I wont get much running in anyway. Managed to get 10 miles in this morning but off to Ski school at 7am tomorrow. So either run in the evening or not bother. Doesn't matter really.

    If you are going altitude training I believe you need to be there for months. A few weeks here and there makes no difference.

    minimum of 6 weeks to get the full benefit,
