    BGR's on midsummer's day

There must be quite a few attempts going on this weekend with it being the longest day though I've seen very little mention of proposed rounds on the forum.

I'm helping with an anti-clockwise attempt by a Clayton clubmate, albeit as road support as I can't help thinking that having my leg in a pot may hinder his progress on the fells. Still looking forward to the day though.

Anyone else up there this w/e? Good luck to all those going for their Big Bob.

Dark Peak et al have 10 out there I know of two other attempts one going around midnight with strong support. Not sure when Eddie is going from Acelerate.

Two lads from Bowland, Ian & Will, setting off clockwise at 1am Saturday.

Broad Stand could be a tad busy!

    Cheers, Ali

There's one from Ilkley: 1 am or 2am clockwise, also a friend who isn't a member of a club going clockwise starting at midnight.

Plus there's Ian doing his 55 at 55 as well.

Yes it could be busy! Parking could well be a problem especially at Wasdale.

Good Luck to Will and Ian, and everyone that has a go this weekend. The weather forecast looks good. (light winds, cool, a few showers)

So it looks like our anti-clockwise attempt is the only one going the right way round?

    Pah!

At least you should get Broad Stand to yourselves.

Anyway, good luck to one and all - I may be out helping on the Honister to Keswick section on Saturday night - depends if the guy gets that far and if my knee is OK.

Bob Graham went CW, which is good enough for me! I'm setting off at 2am.

I ran with a guy from Ilkley (Brian) on a leg 3 recce a few weeks back, sure he said he was likely to set off at 1am.

Anyone setting off earlier, don't get caught up in the Great Lakes Run on the Bowfell to Sca Fell section!
