    Sore/Numb feet

    Wondering if anyone can help.

Mrs Bother has been running for about 2 years now, but after a couple of mile or so she gets intense pain on the balls of her feet, right at the front near her toes and has to stop till it eases, they usualy go tingly and numb and then she can hobble home.
She runs on her forefoot rather than rolling from heel to toe, we have tried various types of shoe but to no avail.

Many years ago she said she could never wear "clarks" type shoes for walking as she had the same problem, more recently she is getting general numbness in the same area when cycling or even walking about.

it could be a condition called mortons neuroma. This is 3 times more common in middle aged women- footwear has some impact but an excessively pronated or flat foot flairs it off. Other causes could be capsulitis / bursitis, nerve impingement from higher up etc... Would be advisable to see a specialist podiatrist.

Hi There, nowt but bother you two.

G.P. may or may not refer you - and then there's probably a long wait.

You could try Paul Savage near The Royalty. I've got his details if you want them.

Have a good run in The Saunders.

    Hi there,

I also think I may have a Mortons Neuroma and was wondering whether Mrs Bother has had an "joy" with hers?
I am sick to death of mine as it clears up for a while and then comes back to haunt me. Cheers
