How many races can you see?

From the Trig point at Blackstone edge Mrs Stagger and myself could see some part of the route for the following:-

    Blackstone edge
    Winter Hill
    Wardle Skyline
    Turnslack
    Eddies revenge
    Stoodley pike
    Wharmton dash
    Ravenstone
    Waugh well
    Thievely pike
    Coiners
    Race to the summit
    White holme circular
    Wadsworth trog
Pendle x 3 (Fell, Half, full)

    Have we missed any????

    From the top of Pinhaw:

    Yorkshireman (full and half)
    Pendle x 3 (full half & fell)
    Lothersdale
    Pinhaw (obviously)
    Rombalds Stride
    Rombalds moor
    Rivock Edge
    Jack Bloor
    Kildwick
    Bradley
    Weets
    Stirton
    Embsay (Bofra)
    Settle Hills
    Ingleborough
    Yorkshire Three Peaks

    Then believe it or not...

    Coniston
    Duddon (long and short)
    Old County Tops
    Langdale

There's probably a few more Lakes ones that you could see part of the course of, but it gets a bit hard to tell which hill is which at that distance. There's also the runs around Ogden reservoir - you can see the wind turbines so they can be added. Not sure if you can see any of the Woodhead races from Penistone.

Re: How many races can you see

I'll tell you what, I cannot name all the races, but from the Harry Aspinall Race at Stacksteads the other week, there were people who had never been there before from the Lakes / Yorkshire Dales etc, who commented on the view from the top of the course at Hailstorm Hill there.

You can see the lakes, the 3 peaks, Malham, Thieveley, Widdop, Blackstone Edge and down to Kinder Scout as well as across to Winter Hill.

It has to be as good an all round vantage point as any around.
