    Too be honest never seen their jackets so cant comment on them will keep my eyes open for one and check it out, is it goretex xcr or new proshell ?

    the settle loop race is on settleharriers.org website but is being organised for the local scout group to raise money. the route is a circular one with a climb at the beginning and undulating from then onwards, the scenery if fab and lots for family to do in settle whilst they wait! distance is 9 1/2 miles and tea n cakes after-what more can you ask for!!

    off to lanzarote in 2 weeks so might have a go at running up one of the volcanoes although might need an helicopter lift after I have reached the top !!!

    ive tried this , in the heat its nigh on impossibla, its sooo hard

    Lucky lucky - I'll be sat in "flat" Warwickshire for a week next week and having to resort to roads....

    Daz, sort your head out. Just go run your own run.

    Or as one lad I know (at the back) says "I likes fellrunning 'cos I get a nice little walk on the steep bits. That roadrunning's too continuous..." Not an Olympic hopeful!
