They were delivered today and I modelled one at our club handicap tonight. The ladies certainly liked them but I got some funny looks from the fellas!

BEAUTIFUL race, lovely undulating course and awesome FREE T-shirt!

Lady Slugge & I missed the start by 2 minutes, but really didn't affect our enjoyment too much.

Bit surprised there was no marshal or "Race" sign on the B-road

there were a couple of those bright yellow 'caution runners' posters and a couple of army cadets when I turned up, on the junction of the road and the lane to the start, but nothing before then.
It was a brilliant event - t-shirt AND a yoghurt (mine was kiwi flavoured) to all finishers. Thanks to all at Denbigh Harriers..

There were no cadets/human beings of any description at the junction on either(!) of the occasions I approached.

The "Caution Runners" signs only added to the confusion, as these are supposed to be to warn motorists that that bit of road is part of a race course (which it wasn't).

There was one sign bearing a silhouette of a runner which was only visible when approaching from the North, i.e. no use whatsoever when approaching from South (like wot I did the first time!)

You're right about the 'caution runners' signs, as I approached (from A5, South) and when I slowed to look at them, I also thought we were going to be running on the road. I was lucky cos that's where I met the cadets, and they told me where to park, looks like they had moved on as race start time came round. Wonder how many more were affected?
Maybe its a sneaky attempt to keep the race as a 'hidden gem' !
