Are you up for a challenge?
I recently reccied this race route from Downham village near Clitheroe,It's a superb setting for a race,a beautiful village with great views of Pendle.

The route itself is well thought out and contains a number of tough climbs, especially out of Mearley Clough onto Mearley moor but it's not all bad news, for those like me who prefer good fast downhill sections, you're spoilt for choice,my personal favourite was coming off Pendle with the view of Downham to pull you along towards the finish.
The descents though are quite varied, some steep, some long and fast and one through the Bracken, which is quite a challenge when you are 5ft nowt.

I run on Pendle fairly regularly but I found myself on trods I hadn't been on before, the route tends to stay away from the well trodden hiking paths.

Fantastic route and something a bit different around Pendle, both me and my partner concluded that this would be a winner with those who enjoy a good tough fell race with great variety.
The race is 14 ml and 3900ft and is to be held on 26th July at 2:00.

Have a go!
