Saw this many years ago and was really creeped out by it. You've probably seen the odd clip of it here and there, but I found out the name of the film recently and found the whole film on You Tube.

Finally i have material with which to get this thread moving. Did anyone watch that Paul Merton thing on BBC4 about the origins of silent cinema? I meant to check it out but forgot.

Yes it was very good. Highly recommended. Very much silent film and especially silent comedy buff.
They called me mad and i called them mad and damn them they outvoted me !!!.
