Mmmm just done a 5k timed hilly loop with my loved one.
Just over 15mins which is her best.
Slip streamed behind all the way.
    Nice quick effort.

    Managed another commute today.

Out in the car tomorrow so it will be a rest day.

Just 11k each way with 400ft going and 700ft coming home.
No problem - hope you are enjoying it.

Got up early this morning so went the long way to work. Nearly all off-road on the CX bike. Took the tough side of the canal as it's so dry there's not much to slow you down at the moment. (Apart from the geese which are vicious at the moment - lots of goslings around to protect!)
Home the quick route in time for the footy.

May commute tomorrow but then taking it easy for Velothon Wales on Sunday.140km taking in the Tumble and Caerphilly mountain - looking forward to it immensely.

1 hour 23 minutes at a fairly brisk pace, on roads to the east of Loughborough. The B676 coming back from Six Hills is always good for a burn-up; so I was disappointed at Burton-on-the-Wolds when the vehicle-activated sign thanked me for going a measly 21mph. My ambition is to get one of these signs to tell me to slow down. Fat chance!

Velothon Wales. Quite pleased with 5.45 given the weather - 33 degrees at times and not a cloud in the sky. The Tumble was tough but Caerphilly mountain harder still especially with 120km in the legs.

If my cycle computer is to be believed, I hit 77kph (48mph) today but of course that was downhill on a wide road with no traffic to worry about!

Took it easy today after last week's exertions with a mostly off-road MTB session. 25km everywhere very dry and dusty with a lot of loose gravel and rock about. Some paths almost turned to sand so hard going at times.

Managed Lancaster to Kents Bank (just past Grange-over-Sands) return, yesterday on the old 531 'crosser on 35 mm tyres; in the company of a 78 years-old on his 531 tourer. 2.35 out, 2.30 home. 66 miles all told.
Not fast, but v. hot and we are both asthmatic; so reasonably chuffed.

50km this morning playing dodge the shower. Concentrating on short, sharp hills and finished with a PR up my favourite local climb so well chuffed.

Just a gentle 6k around the town and on the promenade.

Nice sea breeze but still 33° in the shade.

I could get used to this.

Jogging, swimming and cycling all under blue skies and hot sunshine.

Last Tuesday (31st July) saw 15 members of CTC Lancaster & South Lakes cover 100 miles on a large Figure-of-8 around the Fylde flatlands, albeit a tough headwind from Cleveleys to Lytham going S down the prom.
