A fab 5 hours worth of riding, pushing and carrying the crosser around the Edal area yesterday

Good 3 Peaks training and I wasn't excessively tired afterwards... Brilliant scenery! Never been there before...

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

yesterdays ride was at the snowdonia enduro on my vintage crosser, had a bad ride due to bad choice of rims(modern ones) kept shedding my rear tyre on tight bends at speed ,I was loosing over ten mins a lap,
Had to give up at the penultimate lap due to lack of tubes,
I will be back next year with a vengence
Perfect course for a crosser and a good event
One guy got a bit upset at me coz i splashed himsoft lad not fell running material
I was the only chap on a crosser there .
It has been confirmed that I can enter the ruthin mtb enduro in sept on a crosser,so there is a tougher ride than the the peaks waiting and with no road!
    anyone interested?

A nice 50miles this afternoon on my Rourke
Headed up to Matlock and cycled up to RIber Castle (OOOOOUCH). Its bloody steep up there.
Quite a few Roadmen out which surprised me.
They must have all got fed up with the bank holiday D.I.Y ing and car washing.

No punctures since swapping the front tyre. But like Ady says the Mich pro 3s are a bit expensive nowadays.

Felt pretty good and had some great views of Derbyshire from the castle.

I did the Builth Wells event last year. It was ok, but not impressed enough to want to do another. Too many other people with less ability than me and no brains or common sense.

I preferred the Machynlleth routes, http://www.dyfimountainbiking.org.uk/machroutes.html

I did Mach 3 (plus an extra 15 or so there and back) in February last year and didn't see another soul for the whole day. Bliss!

Nice duathlon at the weekend. Took my GT ZR2000 for a hilly 6 miles to Garway, did the inuagural Jacks Dash 10k fell (their description!!) race and cycled home. Excellent way to get to races!
