good work - 2x20s are just nasty, dunno how you can do them on a regular basis ...

going to join the DP evening chaingang for the first time tonight. Bit nervous actually cos a) I'm not going to get chance to change tyres and I'd rather not crash my new bike again, and b) it's a strong racing club, reckon it'll be no prisoners ...

Good luck with that.... It's all about music choice and, once Oulton Park is out the way, I can kiss goodbye to them and get on with the long stuff in preparation for Zofingen in September.

Commute 18 mile. Bit of a gusty wind direction made it a lot tougher.
Maybe in for a fast time on way home.

Easy Zone 1-2 27.42km/201m in 52:54 mins and no need for overshoes... one degree more on the thermometer and my knees would have got an airing.

good aerobic conditioning to stay in Z1-2 at that speed on a solo ride

Cheers but need more work.. the 150km bike course at Zofingen packs in 1800m of climbing and I need to be averaging 35kph to be competitive.... lots of miles to do before September.

eek. Out of my range that. Could envisage that av speed on the flat - but 1,800m, no way.

I'm relying on the "what goes up....." theory. It's three 50km laps and apparently the second half of each lap is lightening quick.. 80+kph long descents if you've got the balls.

    well yes

the descents never quite seem to compensate for the ascents for me ... Bon courage!
