....But what they really need to do is partner with Hope to supply them built up with hydraulic brakes rather than cabled brakes.
Great vid, that bike in the vid looked like it had hydraulic discs Dom, or is that just for the prototype?
Hills and Guinness!
Dom, that link is for the "Dirty Disco" carbon fibre cyclo-x frame, not the Ti in the vid.
As for the brakes, the Avid BB7 will be a lot more powerful and more reliable ( not as affected by water & crud ) than cantis and a lot easier on maintenance than hydraulics, albeit not as powerful.
Steve, definitely cable operated Avids, just look at the closing sequence close up of the front hub.

I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!
Sorry, didn't spot that - thought it was the Disco in the vid. The Hope pic above is a convertor that takes a cable from a standard STI lever and links it to a hydraulic resevoir that then powers a hydraulic disk brake. Paul Oldham (in the pic above) was racing it in the British champs this year. I have a PX Uncle John with BB7's and they're not much cop. Nowhere close to the hydraulics on my MTB.
