Aye all good things come to an end.
22° and sunny round the Temple Newsome area of Leeds.
But this weeks positive is I weight 5lb than the day i travelled.
Rather grey and uninspiring in the shire this morning. A strong swirling breeze that always seemed to manifest itself as a headwind no matter which direction I was going. Did a hard 55km, trying to keep the speed high on the flats and easier drags. Struggled on the hills but have upped the running ascent of late so no real surprise there. Thankfully still in short sleeved jersey - probably the best year I can remember for cycling weather.
After my couple of weeks off with a sore rib I'm back.
Off road to temple newsam (big stately home near Leeds) round the 5k park run route and back home.
My goal is to cycling to park run, compete and cycle home.
No where near yet but I have a goal😁
Packed it in today, tried to get to The Craven Arms, but the weather was foul. Turned around and went shopping instead.
Luke Appleyard (Wharfedale)- quick on the dissent
Aye. A mate from Keighley said hail, rain and strong winds.
Keep up the efforts Luke.
Exercise helps me a lot.
Knackered foot (hole in sole....dont ask!) meant no racing for me on BHM so got out the Scott, dusted the spiders off and went out for a 2 hour bimble around the beautiful monmouthshire lanes. Must do this more often!

50 mile loop out to Bewdley taking in the 3 toughest hills on my local patch - St Kenhelm's, Sheepwalks and Winwood Heath. Took it easy as legs still not back to 100% after the LDMT and had a hard week at work.
Started off quite cool and autumnal but had some late summer sun on my back for the last hour and started to overheat.
Always great to be out on the bike this time of year - hoping to get some long rides in before the winter season kicks in.
Crazy weather at the moment.
Morning commute in insulated gloves, thermal base layer, ls jersey, windproof and leg warmers.
Overheated on the way home in shorts, just the jersey and mits.
