i had a pair of the 285's (Red). good shoe......But only for racing. they wouldn't last too long if you started using them for training

Montrail Highlanders are also a cracking shoe (IMHO) for various terrain. i have used them on fell, trail and mixed.....NO problems

I use 315's, on to my second pair now, the first are still in tact and will come back out for 'total wear out' when it is drier, just needed some more grip over winter which is why I bought a new pair.

I have trashed other Innov-8's in the past, but these seem to go on and on.

I personally avoid lightweigt shoes, I use 330's for grip when needed, not the other lighter ones with side laces.

At my level, a couple of ounces makes little difference, if it was 4 stone from my frame that would be different!

Does anyone know who stocks Montrail Highlanders. As I have never bought any Montrail shoes before I would like to try them on first.

    Thanks
