Saddleworth 6

[Roadrunner]

The Saddleworth 6 takes place this Wednesday (13th August) starting at 7.30pm from Churchill Playing Fields.

I am planning on doing it. Anyone else fancying a flattish 6 mile road race?

May have a go myself - will decide on the day. Ran it in '98 and '06 with similar times... shows how standards have changed in that time - my positions were 40th and 15th, despite only a few seconds' difference!

A great event this one... RoadRunner was simply miles ahead even in the first mile, pity he didn't have someone up there with him to give him some competition! An impressive solo effort!
Well done to everyone else there too, unlucky Saints Lad, you just looked a bit overtired when I got passed you with a mile or so to go... anyway, I'm sure you preferred the run to watching Liverpool last night!

I see you did 35.27 for 17th place and Stu was 18th in 35.33.
I did 35.26 in 1993 and was 90th!
