can anyone recommend decent sunglasses for fell running? Need to grip and not come off on fast descents.
I had some sunwise which were ok but broke.
Oakley are out of my price range at the mo.

Tinted swimming goggles usually stay on however rough the terrain or fast the descent although you will stand out like a sore thumb and look silly!! Can be useful for deep stream crossings in adverse weather also.
I suggest one of these......
Not Wendy Houvenaghel silly, but her helmet and sun visor combo. It keeps the sun and flies out of your eyes, gives you uber streamlining and frictionless running, protects your head (although falling backwards and spiking the ground probably isn't recommended) and makes you look like an Alien when seen in silhouette
I bought a good pair on ebay. BIRDZ with inter-changerble lens and a removable felt type strap and they were cheap but really good.
The loser now will be later to win.
Serious answer coming up.
Tried all sorts over the years, but the best results have come from a pair of Adidas Supernova. Have a peep at www.urbanadventuregear.com and click on the Adidas Eyewear option.
Incredibly light, don't bounce about very much and the anti-fog does appear to work.
Arms are detachable and if you do drop them, they just drop off and that seems to lead to less harm than one might expect otherwise.
Not cheap though.
Name should suit you Darth; as a sith lord you should know all about Supernovas (Supernovae?)

thanks folks... you ask a simple question, and what do you get? Gibberish!
Not so bothered about sun... problem is, my eyes stream like mad when descending, meaning I can't see and sometimes fall. Not good on the Ben.
Comes from being brought up in a cave, I guess.
Back to the drawing board!
I use these http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/Run/8/dhb_...es/5360021749/
relativley cheap, they wobble a bit on downhills, but lenses are interchangable and they fit ok so all in all not a bad buy.
Bunch of wusses! What's wrong with Clint's technique from "High Plains Drifter" - just screw up your eyes and squint into the sun?
