Just noticed in Keswick MRT incidents that a fellrunner training for the BGR was rescued on 27/8 after falling 100ft from the ridge into Doddick Gill.
Was it anyone that we know? Hope whoever it is makes a quick recovery.

Oh dear
Easily done. I drifted off the ridge into Doddick Gill on Friday night. Thought I was OK because I could see Turnip and Beatathletes's headtorches before realising they were sheeps' eyes shining back at me and had to scramble back up through the heather back on to the sharp (ouch!) rock.. Hairy.
I tell you what though - that KMRT website makes for some scary reading - trips, falls, terrible injuries and many fatalities - all in and around places I know well and whizz around on a regular basis.
Could easily happen to any of us, I mean, one 17yr female fell 120ft after simply sneezing.

Reminds me of the lass who went to the doctor and said: "Doctor, every time I sneeze, I have an orgasm." " Have you been taking anything for it?" He replies. "Yes," she says...
"Pepper."
Very good Hells Bells fell is a scary place to be on your own in the dark, must say a public thank you to Ambrosia Kid for flashing his headtorch backwards on The Master's and Mrs Crumblydown's BG Fell over numerous times and thought i'd broken my elbow at one point, hope the Doddick Gill base jumper is ok
Hills and Guinness!
I still can't believe anyone goes down Halls Fell ridge on a BG (especially in the dark when it's wet). There is absolutely no doubt that Doddick Fell is a much faster (and safer) descent.
Having said that, I hope the injured runner is ok.
