    Left knee

I "jarred" my knee slightly coming down whernside, and by the time i got to ingleborough i had to keep stopping due to pain and it felt like it was going to collapse. After that, rested it for a day (just a nice walk) then did some more trots, and although it was stiff it was not too bad. Went for my 5miler today before work, and had to stop again as it was really griping me!! The back of my thighs and front etc are fine, not a twinge, the pain is at the side of my left knee, does seem a little swollen too. I'm taking some Ibuprofen at the mo. anyone any ideas what it may be and any tips
    cheers

    Re: Left knee

as i work in a hospital i had the chance to chat to a physio, he feels that i have sprained it!!, i need to get some heat on it every night, do some gentle leg exercises (15-20) and rest it for two weeks and keep taking anti imflamatory's!! Not even any road running, I'm booked in at horton campsite again this weekend!! Bugger Looks like some gentle walking then

I've just had to cut short a 20 mile pre marathon training run with exactly the same symptoms
