    I would have thought most would follow the fence. Certainly in cloud it is probably the easiest. I would guess there is more potential for going astray by going over Haystacks.

    Floutern tarn, Side of Buttermere, Scarth Gap, Black Sail, Stone Cove, contour Kirk Fell, Down black sail pass, Black sail hut/path to lake then follow south shore back to start.

    That was bloody tough. Garmin measured 21.1 mile with 4300ft, so that must still be a AL category. The track from Black sail Youth hostel was soul destroying. Race won by Rob Hope and Jackie Lee. Thanks to all involved, the refreshments at the end were plentiful and much appreciated.
