Any solved the problem of getting to the start with out a car? family staying in pooley bridge next weekend and I'm thinking of having a long day out but they will not take me to the start that early.
They will pick me up at the end though...

There is a good service between Penrith and Keswick, but to get to Penrith from Pooley Bridge is less good.

A quick scan of the timetables show you could get to Keswick for 0740 from Penrith, but no bus out of Pooley bridge until after 0930 on a weekend. Taxi to Penrith then bus maybe? A taxi from Pooley Bridge to Keswick will cost a bomb, they're ridiculous prices round here.

I've just been checking out a few links on the gofar site. The email address ([email protected])

for The Cumbrian Traverse is coming up as permanently failed. Is there anybody out there who might know Dick Courchee's new email address? Thanks

Train to Foxfield gets you to within a few miles of the start. Could you be dropped off at a station on the way to Pooley Bridge?
