    Coniston Old Man

Im not sure whether this is the correct section to put this thread in, but oh well.

On the 31st this month me and my family are going to coniston for the weekend. We planned to walk the Old Man since we are staying in Torver.
But yesturday, my mum said, "Will you be running it". So i though, dam right.

But....ive no idea of any routes up it or any nearby summits.

Does anybody know of any they could advise me on or any other info you could give me.....

Here's a link to the Coniston Fell Race Route which includes the Old Man and a bit more. The race route goes anticlockwise. If just doing the Old Man you can go direct from Torver starting by the Wilson Arms and going up and down the South Ridge, it's an exhilarating descent if you find a good line. I've run this route up the Old Man and then around Dow Crag beyong shed loads of times in the past - a shorty but pretty solidly runnable all (most) of the way with a bit of puff.
